Description

Originally I had planned to process this picture using the 'tone mapping' technique, and use separate RGB stars. So, I shot the nebula using the high gain setting on the camera, accepting the quite blown up stars since I planned to get rid of them anyway.

However, I have unfortunately not been able to get a decent result with star removal using starnet or straton.

In the end I decided to go for my usual workflow, and accepting the blown up stars in the picture.

Anyhow, this is IC410 aka the tadpole nebula. Its distance is about 12.000 lightyears. The cluster in the nebula is NGC1893. These stars are just 4 million years old.
